Winning teams from the Jersey Netball Senior Winter League went up against the best of the rest this week, with the Champions taking on the MVPs of their respective divisions.
Champions St Saviour A vs The Rest
On Monday evening, Division 2 champions, St Saviour A, kicked off the competition in a fast-paced match, with players from St Brelade, Convent, St Lawrence and Accies making up ‘The Rest’ team. St Saviour showed their skill as a team from the first centre, with impressive defence from Ruth Le Gresley, Georgina Diniz and Hayley Pallot making it difficult for their opposing shooters to gain points. Despite missing some of their season-winning line up, St Saviour were a force to be reckoned with, maintaining a consistent lead throughout the game, thanks in part to the tremendous mid-court to goal play from Enya Conway, Becky Gorin and Harriet Farber. St Saviour ended the match with a resounding 50-20 win, proving that they are, undoubtedly, Division 2 Champions.
Division 2 ‘The Rest’ Squad: Yara Rodrigues, Megan Pretesi, Poppy Roche, Evie Le Breton, Ava Griffths, Maddie Higton, Rosie McManus and Steph Egan.
Champions St Ouen B vs The Rest
Tuesday evening saw first-time Division 3 Champions, St Ouen B, take on a strong team of POTMs from St Lawrence, St Clement, St John and St Saviour. With accurate shooting from both ends of the court, St Ouen finished the first quarter with only a 1-point lead, however they began to find their usual flow as a team, as Michala Graham, Lauren Taylor and Julie Gould worked harmoniously with their shooters, Sarah Atwood, Lauren Byrne and Zoe Barrett-Banks. Despite some excellent defence from ‘The Rest’, the Champs began to pull away from their opposition, aided by interceptions from Paige Mason, Lisa Neil, Jessica Southern and Emma Le Main in defence for the Blues. A competitive match ended in a 39-22 win for St Ouen, leaving them in good stead for weekend.
Division 3 ‘The Rest’ Squad: Mary Pack, Annie Martin, Emma Le Main, Kerry Roche, Hana Maddison, Natalie Brophy and Georgie Dodd

Champions Convent A vs The Rest
Rounding off the three matches were the reigning Division 1 Champions, Convent A, who put out a team packed with players from the recently promoted Jets 1 squad. The match was well contested, with the pathways to goal clearly established for Convent, as Rosie Tonner, Emily Green and Emily Le Gros moved with confidence to quickly build a lead. This fluidity of play was evident across the court, despite the combined skill and experience of a talented squad of players from St Lawrence, Convent, Accies and Team Jets forming ‘The Rest’. Katie Doyle, Florence Allo and Josie Ewing were formidable in Convent’s defence, preventing their opponents from closing the gap. Impressive interceptions from both teams, particularly Convent’s midcourt trio of Mollie Luce, Toni Chaytor and Jodie Blampied, spurred the team on, ending with a 56-29 win.
Division 1 ‘The Rest’ Squad: Lara Spary, Kat Le Riche, Tino Tonetenda, Michelle Nelson, Megan Hamilton, Grace Thomson, Jasmin Shunte and Summer Watkins.
